As we have covered numerous times before, the Edición Regional program was born in 2005, with a quartet of cigars released, the Punch Superfinos and Ramón Allones Selección Suprema for Italy and the Punch Robusto and Ramón Allones Eminencia for Switzerland. It is a series that would quickly grow and see non-regular production vitolas added to marcas with distribution limited to a certain country or region.

Linea 1935 Dumas
The Montecristo Linea 1935 line is a recent addition to the brands portfolio being released in 2017. They contain an original blend of tobacco from the Pinar del Río region to create the strongest flavours with the most intensity within the Montecristo line.
The Dumas is a Prominente Corto vitola, with a 49 ring gauge and 130mm in length, which is comparable to a Short Robusto. The cigars in the Linea 1935 line distinguish themselves from the rest of the brands offerings with a secondary band that carries their individual vitola names.
The construction is elite as they are tripa larga, totalmente a mano – long filler, totally handmade, which creates a razor sharp draw that offers an abundance of rich creamy smoke.
Pre light we found aromas of earth and cedar wood, while the opening gave off vegetal notes at first that quickly transitioned into a delicious mix of coffee, caramel and touches of vanilla and leather.
We highly recommend purchasing a box if given the opportunity, The presentation of the box is stunning, boasting a dark brown matte Carmelite lacquer finish and unique beveled edges, finished with an engraved with a fleur-de-lis that has become synonymous with the Montecristo brand from its inception. Partagás Maduro No. 1, which will be supplied in the coming weeks to the outlets all over the world, offers the smoker all the flavour and intensity of Partagás, with a very special , selected from the best leaves harvested from the top levels of the “” tobacco plant and which has developed, after an additional period of fermentation, a texture and intense color that are the ideal complements to the full flavour blend of Maduro No. 1.
All Habanos of the Partagás brand are made “ con ” (Totally handmade with Long Filler) with selected leaves from the zone – the best tobacco zone of the world – in the region of , Cuba.
Maduro N2
The Maduro wrapper is greasy, but grainy and a bit speckled. Raw, there is a good draw and woody and suave notes. A thick and fragrant smoke escapes from the first puffs. The flavors are immediately woody and roasted and a certain power is already apparent, but the combustion leaves something to be desired on some copies. After relighting, the cigar takes on a welcome roundness. The white smoke is still faithful to the post and becomes smoother in the mouth. It carries aromas of mocha and chocolate. The third third, dominated by burnt flavors, is less lush and the cigar tends to heat up. Always a beautiful figurado from the Partagás house, even if the quality of its manufacture seems to be deteriorating: beware!

Magnum 46
Overview: H.Upmann Magnum 46
H Upmann’s Magnum 46, named after it’s ring gauge, is a rare find. This Corona Gorda Vitola measures at 143mm and is an all around elegant cigar, from its chocolate colored wrapper to the warm oak aroma that emanates from it.
Delicious flavors of sugar and nuts come out first with a creamy richness that the smoke provides, and reaches a mild medium strength from the first puffs. As the cigar burns the strength increases to a medium full flavour and additional notes of baking spices come in to mingle with the cream and the nuttyness intensifies.
The complexity of the transitions in this cigar are fantastic, truly a must try for all our aficionados if you haven’t yet had the chance.

Overview: H.Upmann Magnum 50
H. Upmann Magnum 50, named after its ring gauge, is a generously sized Double Robusto Vitola, that measures at 160mm in length. Released in 2008, this cigar has become a favorite among aficionados across the globe for its classic flavours.
The Magnum 50 started out with a light medium profile, with aromas of graham cracker that carried through to mix with warm flavours of vanilla and cinnamon with a dash of rustic leather. We also detected fruity notes reminiscent of apricot and peaches, almonds came through with force while the strength and body increased to a full medium as we smoked.
The draw on this cigar is absolutely perfect, offering voluminous puffs of smoke full of complexity and clean transitions. A classic in the making, this cigar has tremendous aging ability.
Magnum 50 would make an excellent choice after a decadent meal of red meat paired with a full bodied red wine. You can expect this smoke to last around 90 minutes.

H. Upmann Magnum 54, named for its ring gauge, measures at 120mm. It is one of the most recent releases for the brand, being launched internationally in 2017.
Presented in a beautiful Colorado Maduro wrapper that is velvety in texture, these Maduro leaves undergo an individual aging process of 5 years to achieve this luxurious color and classification and adding a distinct sweetness to the profile.
The construction is impeccable, noticeable upon first light, the draw is razor sharp and fills the mouth with a creamy smoke. There is a light sweetness in flavours of coffee bean and light spices, we also noted some almond nuttyness. The body hovered around medium, increasing slightly towards the finish while the flavour intensity went from medium to full with sweet floral notes and rich cedar coming in to build out the bouquet.
While a generous size, this cigar would be well suited to all levels of smoker, the smooth and satisfying flavours can be easily appreciated or intricately unpacked.
