Trinidad esmeralada
The Trinidad Esmeralda is a Dinoras vitola, which is a brand new format for the Habanos profile, measuring 145mm in length with a 54 ring gauge.
They were released in 2019, presented in the traditional boxed format from Trinidad, two rows of six cigars encased in semi boite nature boxes of 12. They are hand rolled, filled with the finest long filler tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo Region of Cuba, and expertly finished with the signature pigtail cap.
The Esmeralda begins slowly with soft aromas of bread, citrus and a bit of sweetness from the foot. The cold draw was easy and had forward flavours of soft bread flavour with a dash of black pepper. Once lit there was a distinct pepper note with a touch of orange while the thick smoke offered a creamy flavour.
In the second third new flavours of cedar and hazelnut develop, with a white pepper note on the retro hale. The strength and body is light medium level, picking up steadily as the cigar progresses, finally reaching a medium plus level in the final section.

The La Trova is a regal cigar, decorated with the Trinidad and LCDH branded bands that sit on top of a gorgeous colorado leaf. They are filled with the finest long filler tobaccos available from the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba and finished with the brand signature pigtail cap.
The experience begins with soft aromas of honey and cedar, with the cold draw being primarily cedar with a hint of grass. Once lit the smoke is smooth as velvet, offering a complex flavour profile filled with almond, coffee, baking spice with a touch of chili heat.
In the second third the flavours intensify and new notes of walnut and sweet cedar join the bouquet, with a soft creaminess coming through. The strength is consistently medium throughout, while the body hovers between a medium up to a full towards the finish.

Featuring the widest caliber in the brand's lineup, the Trinidad Tropes was first released as a limited edition in 2016. It features an average length of nearly 5 inches and a ring gauge of 56.
Some of the Limited Ediciónes are made in an irregular production size with exceptionally flavorful and rare tobacco.
Trinidad vigia
The Trinidad Topes is a Robusto Gordo vitola, measuring 125mm in length with a 56 ring gauge, making it the largest ring gauge offered by the brand. They are offered in classic semi boite nature boxes of 12 cigars.
These cigars were originally released as part of the Edition Limitada from Habanos, but have recently been inducted into the regular production portfolio of the brand. They are hand crafted and filled with the finest long filler tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba.
The Topes begin with delicious aromas of chocolate and nuts, while the cold draw offers a different blend of bread and fruit and a touch of smoky spice. Once lit we found a blend of the aforementioned notes, with bread and nuts being at the top of the mix.
The strength and body settle around a medium strength, the flavours developing up to a medium full in the second third, where we found some additional flavours of coffee beans, oak and a distinct saltiness. In the final section a hint of citrus pushes through with a dash of pepper.
This is an excellent cigar for a pre-dinner smoke, with the savoury flavours lending perfectly to compliment a scotch on the rocks. You can expect to enjoy this smoke for around 60 minutes.
